To Reveal or Not Reveal

The power of the Collection Reveal Function of a Minty Place NFT Contract
Check Yes if:
- You plan to sell your NFT to collectors who will not know which piece of art they purchased until a future date when every collector will be surprised by a reveal. This is like preordering a pack of baseball cards that won't arrive until a future date/time (usually a highly marketed event).
Check No if:
- You plan for collectors to know what they purchased before or immediately after they buy their NFT.
If that is not clear enough for you, below are a few examples of artists/founders who would check Yes or No:
Checks Yes:
- Artist/Founder who is confident in their ability to sell their entire collection (or close to it) within a very short period of time. They plan to have various levels of rarity/value to the different pieces in the collection and they would like it to be completely random who gets the more rare/valuable pieces.
- Artist/Founder who plans to create custom pieces for each collector and deliver them simultaneously at some future date.
- Artist/Founder who feels that if one or more of the rare/valuable pieces are purchased by a collector, there would be no more demand for the rest of the collection and therefore wants everyone to purchase before the rare/valuable pieces are revealed.
Checks No:
- Artist/Founder who plans to let collectors choose which piece of art they want to buy before they purchase.
- Artist/Founder who wants a collector’s purchase to be random but they do not want them to wait until every other NFT in their collection is purchased for the collector to see what they purchased.
- Artist/Founder who still has no idea if they should check this box after reading this.
