Minty place’s goal is to be a significant contributor in on-boarding of irl artists and collectors to the blockchain. As such, we have created a little help guide for those who need help minting below. See our guide on how to install Metamask if you don’t yet have metamask installed.

This tutorial will cover:

1. Minting on Mobile
2. Minting from a PC
3. Minting to a Gift Card (coming soon)

Minting on Mobile

For minting on mobile, it is recommended to use the MetaMask app for iOS or Android.

In your MetaMask app, go to your wallet, and be certain to select the same blockchain as the collection you are minting on. The most common is ETH but check with the artist/founder/team of the collection you are looking to mint.

Inside the yellow circle we click to choose our blockchain. In this case we are selecting Polygon, however the most common is Ethereum.

Make sure you have enough funds for the mint + gas fees.

Here we have enough matic(polygon) for mint plus gas fees.

Go to your browser tab on MetaMask app.

To find the browser on your phone, first click the 3 horizontal bars at the top left of your metamask wallet screen, then click on browser. From here you can navigate to https://minty.place

Navigate to your mint page in your metamask browser.

The mint page will not load until you connect your wallet to the right network to prevent you from making a mistake.

When prompted, Connect.

This is only connecting your wallet to the minting contract. There are no charges at this time.

Now the collection mint page will load and you will be ready to mint.

Once connecting your wallet to the website correctly, it will load with several options.

Select the amount of tokens you would like to mint by pushing the up and down buttons.

Hit MINT.

This confirmation shows your total mint cost and the gas fee. If using the matic (polygon) network it is recommended to click on the underline gas fee to edit it to “’market”

Hit confirm button.

Successful mint message will appear at the bottom of your screen within a few minutes or less.

You can click on the success message at the bottom of your screen to see the transaction.

Scroll to the Transaction Action Section of your transaction to see the tokens you minted (and their IDs)

Congrats, you’ve just successfully minted NFT(s)!

Minting on Desktop

Minting on Desktop is recommended to be done using MetaMask extension for Firefox or Chrome.

In your MetaMask app, go to your wallet, and be certain to select the same blockchain as the collection you are minting on. The most common is ETH but you should ask the artist/founder which chain prior to minting.

Inside the yellow circle is where you select which blockchain you wish to be on. Here we are selecting Ethereum.

Now go to your browser tab and navigate to the mint page.

Here you see the mint page that has not loaded properly. We will need to connect to metamask in order to display the collection. Click the correct account and next button if prompted.

When prompted to connect, Confirm.

Click the connect button.

Refresh your page and the page will load with the collection info

Page loaded correctly tells you have connected your wallet using the right blockchain.

Select the amount of tokens you would like to mint by using the up and down arrows.

Here you can see the details of the mint as well as the + and — arrows to help you tell the site how many NFTs you would like to mint.

Hit mint button when ready to mint.

Here is the mint button in case you can’t see

Confirm the Mint in your wallet

Click the confirm button to mint

You will be able to confirmed it minted by clicking on your metamask activity tab

Here you can see the mint took place with the green date below

Congrats, you’ve just minted an NFT!
